Sundargarh: Unprecedented pre-poll violence has gripped Odisha as two brothers of BJD’s Sundargarh MLA candidate Jogesh Singh were critically injured after a attack by some miscreants in Sargipali area here late last night.

Reportedly, 6-7 persons attacked Naresh Singh and Ritesh Singh with sharp weapons around 1.45 am on Wednesday night. The Singh brothers were grievously injured and were rushed to Sargipali hospital for treatment.

Meanwhile, Jogesh Singh has alleged that BJP’s Sundargarh MLA candidate Kusum Tete was behind the attack. On the other hand, Tete has refuted the allegations levelled against her.

The exact reason behind the attack will be ascertained after investigation into the matter, said police officials.
