Bhubaneswar: It was a fest for politicians who flocked Naveen Nivas today after bagging the prized tickets for the Lok Sabha and Assembly elections. The jubilant 'Netas' made a courtesy call to BJD supremo and Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik and thanked him for their selection.

Two-time Mayor Ananta Narayan Jena who was a frontrunner in the ticket race, bagged the Bhubaneswar Central assembly ticket. "I have been working for the people of Bhubaneswar and will continue to do so with greater vigour. I am grateful to our party president for considering my candidature," Jena said.

“Drainage issues and proper rehabilitation of slum dwellers will be on my priority list,” Jena added.

Rajya Sabha Member Soumya Ranjan Patnaik who got the Khandpada ticket said that he was grateful to the Chief Minister for giving him an opportunity to contest from the seat. "It was my long cherished dream to contest and win from Khandapada. I am emotionally connected to this place," he said.

Keonjhar Lok Sabha candidate said that she would dedicate herself to serve the people of the constituency. "I will work towards empowering the women of my place and solving unemployment issues. I will seek the support of the people of Keonjhar to elect me to the Parliament," she said.
