Kalahandi/Bhadrak: Miscreants looted cash dispensing slot of ATM machine from Indian Overseas Bank (IOB) ATM counter near Chari chhak in Dharamgarh area of Kalahandi late last night.

The incident occurred at around 1 am in the night as the miscreants cut open machine using a gas cutter, loaded it on a pick-up truck and fled the spot. According to officials, there was more than Rs 2 lakh cash in the machine.

Meanwhile, some miscreants allegedly hurled bombs at an ATM kiosk of State Bank of India (SBI) located at Moto Bazar in Chandbali area of Bhadrak district last night and committed loot. Reportedly, eight bike-borne miscreants bombed the counter, broke the glass panes and damaged the machine.

The miscreants fled as soon as they saw a police patrolling van approaching. The amount of cash looted from the ATM is yet to be ascertained, meanwhile cops have begun probe into both the incidents.
