Bhubaneswar: Item girl Rani who landed in controversy after allegedly biting a viewer’s ear during a ‘jatra’ performance last week, has filed a police complaint regarding the vulgar phone calls she has been receiving after her Facebook account was hacked four days back.

In her complaint, she mentions, “I, Puspalata Panda aka Rani (28) of Niali in Cuttack, am an actress working with a jatra party. On February 24, some people spread fake news and vulgar messages about jatra parties on social media. Since I was busy in a program, I was not able to operate my Facebook account. In the meanwhile, somebody hacked it and changed the account details to Sagarika Mohanty Jyoti instead of Rani Actress. The hackers also posted messages as if I am sex worker and invited people to have paid sexual relationships with me. They have provided my telephone number and since then, I have been getting vulgar phone calls which is leading to mental pressure.”

The complaint has been filed at Cyber police station in Cuttack and a copy has been forwarded to Odisha DGP, Crime Brach SP, Bhubaneswar DCP, Khandagiri police station and Mahila Commission.
