Malkangiri: Panic gripped the patients at District Headquarters Hospital (DHH) here today when a seven-foot-long snake was spotted at the outdoor entry of the hospital today morning.
The reptile was spotted by some persons who raised an alarm immediately after sighting the snake. The authorities called the personnel from Snake Helpline to rescue the snake from the hospital.
As soon as the snake was rescued from the building, the rescuers identified it as a Boda snake (viper) and set it free in a nearby jungle.
Notably, the new building of Malkangiri DHH with over 300 beds was inaugurated by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on July 26.
