Odisha: 29 Girl Students Leave Hostel In Gajapati

Gajapati: In a shocking exodus, as many as 29 students left the hostel of Antarba girls' residential school under Mohana police limits here today morning.

The reason behind students vacating the hostel will be ascertained only after a probe said the district education officer (DEO). However, sources said that the girls were facing problems and had lodged several complaints but in vain. In order to get solutions, they decided to tell their grievances to the Collector and left the hostel in the middle of the night.

On the other hand, some guardians have said that their children have not reached the homes yet. It is notable to mention here that over 350 students are studying in the school from Classes 1 to 10.

On intimation, the district welfare officer reached the spot and a probe has been initiated into the matter with the help of school authorities.
