Bhubaneswar: After toiling for months and burning the midnight lamp, several students from BJB Higher Secondary School in Bhubaneswar passed with flying colors and secured top spots in the merit list of Annual +2 Science Exams conducted by Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE).

After attending a felicitation ceremony, Bhabani Shankar Patnaik who has topped in the school as well as in the State, said, “I have scored 93.15%. I am very happy that everyone in my surroundings is proud of me. My parents, teachers, guardians and friends, are all part of my success. I hope to become a successful engineer one day.”

Slum girl Subashsree Maharana who has emerged the second topper in the school and the State with 93% marks said, “I had never imagined that I would be able to achieve such a prestigious rank. I aspire to use this opportunity and drive my motivation towards becoming a doctor.”

Ekamra MLA Ashok Panda who felicitated them said, “I am proud that these kids belong to BJB school, where I was also a student once. They have upheld BJB's name and reputation. They have also given more pride to Buxi Jagabandhu, the man whose name adorns this institution. I bless them all and hope that they continue to achieve such remarkable feats.”
