Odisha +2, +3 Colleges To Run In Separate Buildings

Bhubaneswar: All the +2 and +3 colleges in Odisha will now on run in separate buildings, as announced by Higher Education Minister Arun Kumar Sahoo after a joint conference of School and Mass Education and Higher Education departments on Thursday.

It was announced that +2 and +3 would now not be clubbed under same category. Special attention will be paid to infrastructure of the college buildings. Till the process is complete the classes will be held in same campus.

Sahoo added that teaching and non-teaching staff of +2 colleges will be promoted to +3 colleges and vacancies in +2 colleges will be filled in phased manner. This will go for next 3-4 years until all the vacancies are filled up.

Lecturers of +3 colleges will be will be assigned the +2 classes till the process is complete. The decision have been taken as all +2 colleges will now be a part and parcel of Odisha School and Mass Education Department.

The meeting was also attended by School & Mass Education Minister Samir Das and various officials of both the departments.
