Balasore: A group of fishermen trapped a rare species of fish off Dhamra coast recently. The group led by Narayan Jena had ventured into the deep sea on June 15. They returned today with 10 huge fishes of a rare species.

Each fish weighed around 30 kg and the huge catch netted Rs 6,000 per kilogram. A whole fish was sold at Rs 1.80 lakh. The fishermen said that these fishes had a significant amount of Omega 3 and have medicinal property.

There was a lot of curiosity among the locals to get a glimpse of this prized catch stocked at Chandanpali centre in Bhadrak district.
