Odia Swimmer Mannata Mishra Bags 5 Gold Medals At State Championship

Bhubaneswar: Odia swimmer Mannata Mishra is again set to bring laurels for the State by bagging five gold medals at the State Swimming Championship-2019 and getting selected for the ensuing Glenmark National Swimming Championship.

Mannata was also the champion at one of the group events in the tournament which concluded at the Biju Patnaik Swimming Pool Complex in Kalinga Stadium here on Sunday.

The Glenmark National Swimming Championship (Sub-Junior & Junior) is scheduled to be held at Rajkot, Gujarat from 26th June to 30th of June 2019.

A three member selection committee consisting of senior NIS (National Institute of Sports, India) qualified Swimming Coaches have selected the swimmers who shall represent Odisha in the national event.

The selection has been made according to the guidelines issued by the Swimming Federation of India (SFI). This selection of swimmers is valid only after submission of Medical certificate on age as per SFI guidelines. Selected swimmers have been requested to submit the medical certificates by June 6, 2019.
