Odia Album Actress Death: Police Put Up ‘Latka’ At Simran's In-Laws' Residence In Bolangir

Bolangir: The Burla Police affixed a 'Latka' (proclamation notice) on deceased Odia album actress Simran Singh’s in-laws house at Belpara here after they failed to depose before the police despite several notices.

The notice issued in the name of Yuga's mother Baijayanti Suna mentions that the family members are to depose in the police station for interrogation into Simran’s murder case under IPC sections 302, 313 and 34. The notice has been issued on January 12 and the family members had been asked to depose by Jan 16. However, the members are still absconding.

The police have also issued a notice asking a relative of Yuga Suna (Dhrubaraj Suna), Simran’s beau, to depose for questioning in connection with the case. The notice has been received by one Ruku Suna (wife of the relative), said sources.

It is notable to mention here that, Simran was found dead under a bridge of Mahanadi river near Goira Matha under Burla police limits in Sambalpur on January 3. A murder case had been registered by the Burla police on the basis of an FIR lodged by Simran’s father. The husband of the deceased has been arrested and is currently lodged in jail.
