Bhubaneswar: Thousands of nurses under the aegis of Odisha Nursing Employees Association felicitated Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Sunday with a garland of flowers.

The nurses expressed their gratefulness to the Chief Minister after the State Cabinet decided to regularise jobs of around 4000 staff nurses working under the National Health Mission (NHM).

Even after serving under the NHM for 15 to 20 years, their jobs had not been regularised, therefore the nurses had sat on agitation for several times.

The nurses are now happy with the recent decision of the State Government, which will benefit thousands of them.
