Newly-Wed Woman Hammered To Death In Ganjam

Ganjam: In a shocking incident, a newly-wed woman was allegedly hammered to death by her in-laws in Gobindapur village under Sheragada police limits here on Friday night.

The deceased has been identified as Pinky Swain. The 25-year-old had tied the knot with one Suraj Swain of the village. Theirs was a love marriage however, problems had cropped up in their relationship in the recent past, informed sources.

On intimation, cops reached the spot and recovered the murder weapon. While the in-laws have gone absconding, her body has been sent for post-mortem and further probe into the matter is currently underway.
