New MV Act: Queues At Camps For Learning Licence

Bhubaneswar: People queued up in large numbers at temporary camps to appear for the test to get learning licences.

In view of the mad rush among people for getting driving licences with the implementation of the amended Motor Vehicles Act from September 1, the Transport department has opened two temporary camp offices at BMC Ward office in Saheed Nagar and OSRTC office near AG Chhak.

These camp offices will remain in operation from 10 AM to 5 PM every day from September 30 to October 4 said an official.

The applicant is required to fill up the online form and then visit these camps for fee payment, biometrics, Learning Licence test and no advance slot booking is required, he added.
