Bhubaneswar: Taking stock of the water-logging problem in several areas of Odisha, newly sworn-in Minister of Housing & Urban Development Pratap Jena convened a meeting today at State Secretariat and reviewed the progress of all arrangements.

Executive officers and office bearers of Municipality areas across Odisha attended the meeting. They were briefed about the water-logging issues and drainage problem in the concerned areas. Jena instructed them to begin work on war-footing to address the concerns.

After the meeting, Jena informed the media, “Waste management has to be addressed immediately. We have trained our officers today to focusing on getting all the drains clean so that the problem of water-logging does not occur as rainy days are approaching in 15-20 days. All aspects of cleanliness were also discussed.”
