Cuttack: Odisha Governor Ganeshi Lal today paid his maiden visit to Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose’s birth place in this historic and old capital city.

In his media reactions, the Governor said, “I’m very fortunate enough to visit this sacred place and have its darshan. I have appealed that the designated official of Cuttack Municipal Corporation (CMC) should look after the need for the renovation of the walls very properly here. It will send a right message to our posterity as well as the whole world to observe that how the birth place of India’s brave son of Freedom Struggle has been preserved. He has made a supreme sacrifice for the motherland.”

He mentioned, “Generation after generation, which is yet to be born, can draw inspiration from Netaji about the difference between politics and nationalism. Also how the whole world can be united. Hence, this birth place should be renovated in much more attracted and proper manner.”

On being queried about Netaji’s death mystery, the Governor said, “It is being said that Netaji was in the Siberia’s camp till 1954. Anyway, he is alive in the hearts of the people and whole world. And he will stay alive.”
