: On his second visit to Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) National Commission for Safai Karmcharis (NCSK) has finished its observation in the second day of outreach and field activities.
During the morning hour at 9.45 AM Chairman of the Commission Manhar Lalji Bhai Zala along with his team made the visit to Isaneswar slum near Niladrivihar area under Ward No 14 of BMC.
BMC Administrator, Sangramjit Nayak discussed about inclusion of Isaneswar slum citizens in housing project. Afterwards a mass cleaning was organised to aware the fellow citizens about their active participation in city sanitation.
Chairman of the Commission and team members of BMC, Administrator, BMC and the ‘safai karmcharis’ joined in the programme with broom, and safety kits. On finishing the mass cleaning Zala told the community members about their active participation to keep the city clean.
The camp stalls like registration stall, three doctor’s chamber, medicine distribution centre, pathology test unit, entitlement and convergence, skill training information unit, financial inclusion and insurance information unit and stall of govt. welfare schemes. During the visit the Chairman had discussion with the beneficiaries.
Municipal Commissioner, Prem Chandra Chaudhary discussed the facilities being provided by the ULB for safai karmcharis. He also assured to take care of the suggestions given by the Commission within the capacity of BMC.
Nayak told about the regular health check up camp and MU Safaiwala Concept of the Chief Minister of Odisha being intensively implemented in Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation area. Mu Safiwala street play was staged to awre 527 safai karmcharis present in the meeting. Awareness on different schemes and facilities were told by the invited expert.
