Puri: Ahead of the oath-taking ceremony scheduled on Wednesday at the State Capital, BJD president Naveen Patnaik visited Puri to seek blessings of the Holy Trinity.

Naveen reached the 12th century shrine on Tuesday evening and spent around 10 minutes on the premises. After offering prayers at the main temple, he sought blessings of ‘Maa Bimala’ and ‘Maha Laxmi’.

“I came to visit Lord Jagannath to offer prayers for the people of Odisha before I take oath as Chief Minister tomorrow in Bhubaneswar,” Naveen said.

Besides Naveen, several newly elected BJD MLAs have also visited the temple to seek blessings of the Lord Jagannath.

Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) Chief Administrator, Pradipta Mohapatra presented a Khandua Pata to the Chief Minister on this occasion.
