Naveen Not To Attend Modi's Swearing-In On Thursday

Bhubaneswar: As newly elected MLAs of Odisha Assembly are all set to take oath here on Thursday, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik will not be able to attend the swearing-in ceremony of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi.

As per an official communique issued by the Chief Minister’s Office, "The newly elected members of the 16th Vidhan Sabha (Assembly) will take oath tomorrow (Thursday). As leader of the House, the Chief Minister will remain present during the occasion. So, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik will not able to visit Delhi to attend the swearing-in ceremony of Prime Minister and his council of ministers."

The Chief Minister has conveyed his good wishes to the  prime minister and his Council of Ministers, it added.
