Narrow Escape For School Children As Van Skids Into Pond In Ganjam

Ganjam: Around 24 children had a narrow escape after the van they were travelling in skidded off the road into a pond at Nuapada village under Chikiti block in Ganjam district on Wednesday.

Reportedly, the school van was overloaded because of which the driver lost control of the vehicle and it fell into the pond. Immediately locals rushed to rescue of the children and pulled the van out of the water.

The injured children were rushed to Nuapada Primary Health Centre (PHC) from where one critical student identified as Sarita Goud, a Class V student, was referred to MKCG Medical College & Hospital in Berhampur.
