Bhubaneswar: A day after Krushna Chandra Sagaria was expelled from the primary membership of Congress, the Dalit leader went all guns blazing against party leadership in the State.

A day after Krushna Chandra Sagaria was expelled from the primary membership of Congress, the Dalit leader went all guns blazing against party leadership in the State.

“Leader of opposition Narasingha Mishra advised Conrgess MLAs to fall on the feet of Chief Minister over SC and ST student issues. I had vehemently opposed him as this is not the tradition of Congress,” he said.

"Tara Bahinipati, with the help of RSS filed a case against me. I had written to the AICC in this matter. But the party high command, entrusted the enquiry on Narasingha Mishra, who holds an anti-SC/ST viewpoint. He should be expelled from the post of leader of opposition," added Sagaria.

Sagaria, who resigned as member of Odisha Legislative Assembly in November 2018, said that PCC president Niranjan Patnaik had lobbyed with the party high command to drop him from the post of Odisha Congress' SC Cell chairman.

"I have no fancy for any post but dedicated to the cause of the people who have voted for me. If this is an anti-party act, I would be happy to repeat it over and over again," he added.
