Nandakanan To Reopen For Public Tomorrow

20 May 2019

Bhubaneswar: After speedy restoration work post Cyclone FANI, Nandankanan Zoological Park will be opened for public on May 21. The Zoo is a massive attraction for large number of people from inside and outside the State.

This was decided after inspection by a technical team at the zoo, stated reports.

It is notable to mention here that the green cover of the zoo has taken a huge toll. Enclosures that were built for the animals were also damaged by the cyclone.

The Nandankanan Zoological Park had been shut for visitors from May 2, in order to ensure safety of animals and tourists during the extremely severe cyclonic storm FANI.

As a preparedness measure, holidays of all the employees of the zoo had also been cancelled and they were not allowed to avail any nature of leave until further order.

After 19 days of speedy restoration, the park will finally be opened for public tomorrow.
