Rourkela: The 'Padyatra' (walkathon) of Muktikanta Biswal from Rourkela to Bhubaneswar to meet Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik in a bid to pitch for various demands has taken another turn. His aide, Debi Prasad Das, turned hostile midway and returned to Rourkela to start his own 'cycle yatra' to meet the CM. Das has alleged that Muktikant is not working for the people of Rourkela rather is interested in publicity and is thinking of himself.

Four cyclists from Rourkela set out on a cycle journey today with the support of transgender association and BJP party workers. While, Muktikant is advocating for upgradation of Ispat General Hospital (IGH) and construction of second Brahmani bridge, Debi Prasad and his supporters feel that Rourkela people are facing several other problems that should also be addressed to the CM.

Debi Prasad said, "Issues of Kuarmunda Medical College, Koel barrage and RMC Market Complex should also be discussed with the CM. That is why I have embarked on a separate journey."

The District Kinnar Sangh, who has come in support of Debi Prasad will welcome the four cyclists when they reach the capital city. Their President Zoya Tripathy said, “We are supporting the people working for the people of Rourkela. We want to remind CM about all his unfulfilled promises.”
