Puri MP-Elect Pinaki Mishra To Donate Next 5 Years Of Salary For FANI Restoration Work

Bhubaneswar: After winning the Puri Lok Sabha seat, Member of Parliament-elect Pinaki Mishra has decided to give his entire MP salary to the Chief Minister's Relief Fund for the next five years in the aftermath of Cyclone FANI. 

He tweeted, "In view of the awful #CycloneFani tragedy and the misery of people of Puri, I have decided to give my entire MP salary and daily allowance to the CM relief fund for the next 5 years. Will request CM @Naveen_Odisha to use it for requests from my constituency."

It is notable to mention here that Puri has been the worst-affected in Cyclone FANI and parts of the district are still recovering. The place is slowly inching towards normalcy. The former MP as well as new MP-elect Pinaki Mishra has dedicated several hours visiting every remote village in Puri and looking after the restoration works, following which he took this step.
