Bhubaneswar: A campaign titled 'Rakshak' to raise awareness on the Motor Vehicles (Amendment) Act and to promote road safety among public was launched by the Biju Yuva Vahini (BYV) from the AG Square in Bhubaneswar on Monday.
The BYV volunteers interacted with commuters and vehicle owners while sharing the knowledge regarding the Motor Vehicles Act and road safety norms. State Ministers Pratap Jena and Ashok Chandra Panda, MP Amar Patnaik and Bhubaneswar DCP Anup Kumar Sahoo also joined the volunteers in their noble initiative.
Reportedly, the campaign was organised statewide along with around 20 traffic posts in Bhubaneswar by BYV volunteers with support of the State Youth Welfare Board. The volunteers in collaboration with RTO officials will aware public about the Act and provide necessary support for its implementation.
