Modern Integrated District Police Control Room Inaugurated In Sambalpur

Bhubaneswar: A state-of-the-art modern Integrated District Police Control Room was inaugurated at District Police Office in Sambalpur on Tuesday at 11 am by Satyabrata Bhoi, IPS, DIG of Police, NR, Sambalpur in presence of Sanjeev Arora, IPS, DIG of Police, Sambalpur.

The Control Room will function around the Clock (24x7) and is equipped with modern technology including 100 Dialing facility, monitoring the movement of 13 PCR vehicles of the district and photography of all vulnerable Chowk of Sambalpur Town through CCTV cameras.

Every distress persons from any corner of the district can avail the facility of 100 Dialling systems which will connect directly to District Control Room and immediate steps be taken to redress the grievances through control room. The movement of vehicular traffic i.e triple riding, rash driving, driving without helmet and number plate, movement of criminals and antisocials will also be directly monitored at District Control Room through CCTV which will facilitate to Traffic Management and also sometimes Law & Order management at the time of festivals.

On functioning, the Modern Integrated District Police Control Room will helpful and increase the communication skill of District Police.

Previously there were 9 PCR Vehicles functioning in the District. Another 4 PCR Vehicles have been flagged off by DIG of Police, NR, Sambalpur today which will survey NH-55, Rairakhol, Jujumura, NH-49, Kuchinda SH-15 and Dhama.
