Miscreants Fail To Loot Jewelry But Injure Woman In Rourkela

Rourkela: In an attempt to loot gold jewelry from a woman, miscreants attacked and injured her in Orampada under Uditnagar police limits here on Sunday morning.

According to sources, 43-year-old Mamata Das was going to a private clinic to consult a doctor at around 10.30 am, when bike-borne miscreants intercepted her near Oram Pada and tried to grab her bangles. The miscreants hit her before fleeing the spot.

Due to heavy injury on her forehead , Mamata is currently undergoing treatment in Ispat General Hospital.

On intimation, Udit Nagar police reached the spot and began an inquiry into the incident.
