Six Including 3 Minors Succumb To Snake Bite In Odisha

Bhubaneswar: A staggering of six deaths occurred across the State due to snake bite on Monday.

A four-year-old boy killed due to snakebite taking the count to six; with two 12-year-old twin sisters died in Angul, three in Ganjam and another in Telkoi in Keonjhar.

Twin sisters Rojalin and Sujata Sahoo (12) died after being bitten by a snake in Bentapur village of Angul district on late Sunday night.

The twins were asleep when a snake bit them. They were immediately rushed to Angul Main Hospital and then taken to Cuttack SCB Medical College and Hospital. However, they passed away even before reaching Cuttack. Their bodies were then taken for autopsy to Angul Main Hospital.
