Cuttack: A minor girl who had fallen sick after consuming expired medicines to treat tuberculosis(TB) died while undergoing treatment at SCB medical college and hospital here on sunday.

The deceased, identified as Gudi Nayak of Sarvodayapur had been taking the expired medicines during her initial treatment at district headquarters hospital (DHH) in Cuttack in the last three months.

Last night when her condition worsened, she was rushed to SCB Medical and College where she died.

Her brother alleged that an ASHA worker had provided with the medicines to cure from DHH.
