Mild Earthquake Hits Odisha’s Malkangiri

Malkangiri: A mild earthquake which hit Malkangiri the district today at about 11 am today causing panic in the area.

The earthquake, measuring 4.2 on the Ritcher Scale, was felt across several parts of the district. It caused mild damage to office buildings panicking people to rush out to open.

The epicentre of the earthquake was around 34 km south of Jagdalpur of northern Chattisgarh with a depth of 10 km. The tremors were felt in Khaiaput and Mathili block apart from a few other places in the district along with Sukma district of the neighbouring district.
