Mercury Soaring Across Odisha: Met Forecasts Rise In Temperature Over Next 2-3 Days

Bhubaneswar: Regional Meteorological Department has forecast gradual rise in temperature by 2-3 degrees Celsius over the next 2-3 days. While dry weather will persist in all districts for the next few days, light rain is expected on March 13 in Bolangir, Kalahandi, Sonepur, Nuapara, Nabarangpur and Boudh.

According to latest reports, highest temperature was recorded in Malkangiri 37 degrees. Angul recorded 35.1, Titlagarh 34.0, Bolangir 33.8 and Talcher 33.8. As many as 18 cities recorded temperatures higher than 30 degrees Celsius on March 9.

Capital city Bhubaneswar recorded 33.1 and Cuttack recorded 32.0 degrees Celsius. As the temperature soars, people have been advised to stay hydrated at all times and wear protective sun gear while venturing out. Meteorologists have also predicted that temperatures might touch 39 degrees in Bhubaneswar by next week.
