MDH Founder Meets Odisha CM Over Setting Up Spices Unit In Kandhamal

Bhubaneswar: In pursuance of setting of a food processing unit in Kandhamal district of Odisha, the founder and CEO of MDH Spices, Mahashay Dharampal Gulati, paid a visit to Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik at his residence here on Saturday.

"Delighted to meet Padma Bhushan Mahashay Dharampal Gulati, a shining beacon of India’s entrepreneurial journey with the iconic #MDHSpices. We deliberated on MDH’s interest to set up food processing unit in Kandhamal and assured him our unmatched facilitation support for it" tweeted Patnaik after meeting the 97-year-old businessman.

Earlier in August, Kandhamal MP Achyunta Samanta had met Gulati at his residence in New Delhi and had presented the proposal of establishing the unit in the district.

"You have to see it to believe it!  unbelievable energy at 97 years. Yes, I am talking about the king of spices, owner of @MDHSpices, Padmabhushan Mahashay Dharampal Gulati who has agreed to set up a food processing unit in #Kandhamal to boost the spice market" the parliamentarian had tweeted.

Samanta had also stated that the establishment of the food processing unit in the district will encourage the production of Kandhamal Haldi.
