Matric Question Paper Goes Viral In Odisha's Kalahandi, Centre Superintendent Among 3 Suspended

Cuttack: Taking cognizance of another matric exam question paper going viral on social media on Saturday, the Centre Superintendent, Invigilator and Reliever of Paramananda High School at Rengalpali under Jaipatna block of Kalahandi district have been suspended by the Board of Secondary Education (BSE), Odisha.

Confirming reports of the Mathematics subject question paper going viral on social media along Admit Card of a student, BSE President Jahan Ara Begum said disciplinary action has been taken against the accused persons.

"We got the information at around 11.20 AM and also received the copy of the question paper which revealed details about the school. We contacted the concerned District Education Officer (DEO) following which he sent Block Education Officer (BEO) to the school. After necessary inspection, the required disciplinary actions have been adopted and process has been initiated to lodge a police complaint," said Jahan Ara.

She further informed that complaint will first be filed against the concerned Centre Superintendent, Invigilator and Reliever and if any more facts are revealed during the enquiry, steps will be taken accordingly.

Jahan Ara however denied that the incident had any effect on the ongoing examination as the paper had gone viral about one-and-half-hour after the exam started. It is motive of some vested persons and groups to create a disturbing environment, she added.

The suspended persons have been identified as Rabindra Mund (Centre Superintendent), Brajendra Behera (Invigilator) and M Prakash Rao (Reliever).
