Nuapada: Five teachers of two schools in Nuapada were held today after a police complaint was filed against them at Boden police station last night following the social media circulation of Odia language Matric question paper.

The five persons are- Superintendant Sushil Joshi and sports teacher Arjun Panda of Karangamal High School; Superintendant Prasanna Pati and teachers Mukund Sabar and Bighanraj Supakar of Litisargi High School.

Close on the heels of the Odia question paper going viral on Friday, Board of Secondary Education (BSE) President Jahan Ara Begum had suspended Superintendents and Invigilators of four exam centres. She had also directed the concerned DEOs to file police complaint.

On the orders of Nuapada DEO, Boden Block Education Officer Indramani Panigrahi had filed a complaint and the five teachers were held today for further interrogation into the matter.

Reportedly, District Education Officers of Dhenkanal and Koraput district are yet to file police complaints against school Superintendent and invigilators of two other exam centres.
