Matric Question Paper Goes Viral: 11 Teachers Suspended, Five Arrested

Cuttack: A day after Odia language Matric question paper went viral on social media, the Board of Secondary Education, Odisha has taken stringent action against some teachers.

Addressing mediapersons, Controller of Examination of Board of Secondary Education, Odisha Dr. Nihar Ranjan Mohanty said, while 11 teachers have been suspended, police complaint has been lodged against eight and five have been arrested.

Four students of three districts have been barred from appearing the examination. The Board has further instructed the DEOs and Centre Superintendents to request concerned District SPs to enhance security at centres which are crowded.

The Standard Protocol issued by the State Government will be followed strictly, said Mohanty while adding that from now on the persons involved in clicking pictures of question paper and making it viral will be caught with help of technology.
