Nayagarh: A group of armed Maoists allegedly barged into the Forest Range Office at Banigochha in Daspalla area last night and decamped with four country-made guns.

Reportedly, taking advantage of the Lanka Podi Jatra in Daspalla, seven armed Maoists including three women targeted the range office. While six of them entered into the office, one stood guard at the gate.

After seizing mobile phones of the forest staff, the Maoists looted the guns, vandalized the range office and put up posters on the office walls before fleeing the spot in an auto-rickshaw.
