Mandap Mood: Bomikhal Celebrates Abrogation Of Article 370 In Jammu & Kashmir

Bhubaneswar: The celebration of scrapping Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir can be visualised in the Puja Mandap created at Bhubaneswar’s Bomikhal. In a bid to attract more crowd, the Bomikhal Puja Committee has erected a structure similar to Jammu and Kashmir Palace.

Talking to Ommcom News, Bomikhal Puja Committee Secretary Shailendra Jena said, “We started our project from August 15 with around 30-35 artisans under the able leadership of an architect from West Bengal Bapi Sarkar. J&K has become an integral part of India after Centre abrogated Article 370, and to show solidarity, we would even hoist a national flag in our pandal.”

This committee has entered its 56th year of celebration. The secretary informed that they have around 40 volunteers and 20 CCTV cameras installed for the safety and security of the crowd. Moreover, there are facilities of wheelchair for the smooth darshan of the differently-abled persons. 

The devotees will be provided with khichdi Prasad on a daily basis and special Prasad on Durgastami.
