Groom-To-Be, Parents Killed As Speeding Truck Runs Over Bike In Odisha's Jharsuguda

Jharsuguda: In a tragic accident, three members of a family were killed after the bike they were traveling in was mowed down by a coal-laden truck on National Highway-49 near Pipilimal area here today morning.

The deceased have been identifed as Bisikesan Kalo, his wife Tapaswini Kalo and son Satyanarayan Kalo of Kudaloi village.

Reportedly, the trio was on their way back home after shopping for Satyanarayan's wedding when the speeding truck ran over them. Immediately after the incident, the driver of the truck fled the scene.

Irate locals blocked the NH demanding compsenation. On intimation, Belpahar Police and Lakhanpur police reached the spot, seized the truck and began a probe into the incident.
