Man Held With Country-Made Pistol In Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: A 35-year-old man has been arrested by the Quick Action Team (QAT) of Commissionerate Police in Bhubaneswar today on charges of alleged possession of a firearm and ammunition.

The accused has been identified as Ibrahim Khan, a resident of Dhanagahiri village under Pipili police limit of Puri district.

Reportedly, on getting intelligence input, QAT in association with Kharvelnagar police detained one car near Institution of Engineers at Unit-4 area of the Capital city.

During checking they found the accused carrying a country-made pistol with three rounds of ammunitions.

The raiding party has seized the vehicle along with the pistol and ammunition and has booked Ibrahim under section 25 of Arms Act.
