Man Climbs Atop Tree To Commit Suicide, Rescued By Fire Personnel In Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar:  A 35-year-old man was rescued by the Fire Services personnel while he was attempting to commit suicide here on Monday.

The man identified as Madhu Chatria had climbed a tree around 30 feet in height and was attempting to hang down.

As soon as the bystanders at PMG Square spotted this man, the Fire Services was alerted. A team led by DFO, Bhubaneswar Circle attended the call and rushed to the spot.

Chatria was rescued with the help of a Bronto Hydraulic Lift and brought down by the firemen. According to sources, he belongs to Pandrapeta in Bolangir district.

The man was shifted to Capital Hospital for a medical treatment. Local police is inquiring into the matter, sources added.
