Love Triangle Leads To Murder Of Student In Odisha's Rayagada

Rayagada: Four days after body of a college student was recovered from 1st Lane of Kasturi Nagar in Rayagada, police revealed love triangle as the reason behind the murder.

Rayagada SP Saravana Vivek M in a press meet informed that the incident was an outcome of a love dispute where the deceased Mahadev Suresh Kumar and one of the accused were in love with the same girl.

Reportedly on June 16, the body of 18-year-old Suresh, son of Mahadev Satya Rao of 6th Lane of Kasturi Nagar, was recovered from the verandah of a shop at 1st Lane of the colony.

On receiving a complaint from Satya, police reached the spot and from preliminary investigation confirmed it to be a case of murder with involvement of more than two persons. Later, police gathered further evidences with help of dog squad and scientific team. Besides, CCTV footages collected from the side by areas were verified.

After going through the evidences from the spot and circumstances, police nabbed five persons last night. While three juveniles among them have been apprehended, other two accused identified as Niranjan Bidika and P Pawan Kalyan have been arrested.

During interrogation it was revealed that one of the juvenile accused had an argument with the deceased Suresh on June 15 as both of them were in love with same girl. On the same night the juvenile accused along with four of his associates took Suresh to an isolated place and beat him brutally by means of fist and kick blows.

When Suresh started fading up, they dumped him in an unconscious condition at the shop verandah where he succumbed to the injuries.
