Bhubaneswar: Gracing the State level 70th Republic Day celebration here at the capital city, Odisha Governor Ganeshi Lal exhorted one and all the Indians to dedicate wholeheartedly to the great sons of soil as a true mark of patriotism and homage to their unique contributions towards the progress of our motherland.

In his media reactions, the Governor said, “The day is dedicated to the great sons of this sacred soil. Let’s all pray together that our life, every moment of our respiration, palpitation and every activity are dedicated to the brave sons of Bharat Mata.”

On the auspicious occasion, the First Citizen of our State unfurled the Tricolour (national flag) and took the salute at the State-level Republic Day-2019 parade at Mahatma Gandhi Marg here.

While 53 platoons, including Odisha Police, Fire Services, NCC, Scouts & Guides, civilians of various schools and colleges took part in the ceremonial parade, tableaux of EVM & VVPAT, Agriculture Department, Health & Family Welfare, Odisha State AIDS Control Society also participated prominently among others.

The State level celebration was also marked with Dare Devil show performed by both boys and girls, cultural programmes by Odisha Runners Skating Academy, Bhubaneswar Model Public School (Takshila), Ganjam troupe’s Jodi Sankha Dance, Sambalpuri by Bolangir troupe, Bhumij Karam by Balasore troupe and Medha Nacha by Puri troupe.

While ‘Bharat Mataki Jay’ rented the air, an immaculately spontaneous overflow of patriotism filled the melodiously resounding but serene ambience of the historic Temple city on this gala occasion.
