Landmine, Country-Made Gun Recovered During Combing Operation In Odisha's Gajapati

Gajapati: A landmine along with a country-made gun was recovered by security forces during a combing operation in Paniganda forest under Adva police limits of Gajapati district on Sunday.

Reportedly, a joint team of Odisha Police and District Voluntary Force (DVF) were undergoing combing operation in the area in view of upcoming elections when they recovered a 35 kg landmine and a country-made gun.

The items were recovered within 100 metres of the main road. It is suspected that they are around six months old and planted by Maoists. Meanwhile, combining operation has been intensified in the area.
