Bhubaneswar: A large number of social workers and farmers from Koraput called on Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik at his residence today.

The delegation led by Lok Sabha Member, Jinha Hikaka and Koraput district BJD president Iswar Chandra Panigrahi, thanked Naveen for his efforts towards improving road connectivity in the tribal-dominated district.

For the last 40 years, since the commencement of Upper Kolkab and Indravati Reservoirs, a number of panchayats in Koraput and Lamtaput were cut-off from the mainland, said Panigrahi.

“The Chief Minister's vision and decision to construct bridges in these region would address the connectivity issues of the people,” he added.
