Bhubaneswar: With the counting of votes being held today, Modi wave swept the Lok Sabha results across nation but failed to achieve strong mandate in Odisha. Regional satrap Naveen Patnaik is going to form government for the fifth term in the State by securing majority in the assembly polls.

There were many politicians at stake in this general election out of which some were able to hold their head high but some had to taste defeat. Below is the list of some of the prominent leaders of Odisha who were not able to influence the voters.
