Know Essential Precautions For Cyclone-Hit Families To Counter Heat Wave

Bhubaneswar: As FANI has deprived parts of Odisha from its greenery that was a natural cover to the heat wave, which according to the Regional Meteorological Centre in Bhubaneswar is going to increase in coming days, Director of Capital Hospital has suggested some precautions for the cyclone-hit families to remain safe this summer.

Talking to OMMCOM NEWS, Director of Capital Hospital, Ashok Kumar Pattnaik, said while the Capital Hospital is ready to face any situation with a designated room for sun stroke patients and all kind of facilities, the public should not venture out in the sun after 10 AM.

In case they have to move out, they should cover their head and entire body. Besides they should wear shoes, carry an umbrella and definitely a bottle of water. However, diabetic, hypertension patients and elderly people should prefer to remain indoors, he added.

Patnaik requested people to drink sufficient water before coming out in the sun. Other then it they should consume water melon, cucumber, coconut water. He even asked the people to stop working under the sun after 10 AM and resume it after 3 PM in view of the heat wave.
