Bhubaneswar: A day after resigning from Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), sitting Khariar MLA and former Minister Duryodhan Majhi returned to the fold of Biju Janata Dal (BJD).

A five times MLA from Khariar and two times Minister, Majhi termed it as a homecoming. He had resigned from the party during 2014 assembly elections after rejection of candidature and it is for the exact same reason he quit the BJP yesterday.

He alleged that the BJP has not kept its promise of giving him the ticket for Khariar assembly seat and said the party will surely face a defeat.

It is worthwhile to mention that the BJD has already named Lamobdar Nial as its candidate for Khariar assembly constituency. In his reaction, Majhi said I have worked for the people and keep working for them in whatever means possible.
