**Kendrapara:** Several villages have been inundated in Aul block of the district for the third consecutive day on Sunday after rise in the water level in Brahmani and Kani rivers.
According to reports, flood water from river Brahmani entered several panchayats under Aul block, including Narendrapur, Koladhia, Bada Ambila, Ekamania and Patrapur. As many as 20 villages under these panchayats remained cut-off due to floods.
Four feet flood Water was flowing on the Cuttack-Chandbali road causing cutting off road communication between Aul and Pattamundai today.
Besides, around 60 villages under 11 panchayats in the lower catchment areas of Kani river were cut-off from the rest of the block due to flood water.
Meanwhile, the district administration has provided boats to several villages in order meet any emergency.
“We have provided boats to affected people and intensified our rescue operations,” said Kendrapara Collector Reghu G.
