Kandhamal Twins Jaga-Balia To Return Odisha On Sept 7 From Delhi AIIMS

Bhubaneswar: It is now final as Odisha Health Minister today confirmed that the separated conjoined twins of Kandhamal, Jaga and Balia, will be discharged from Delhi AIIMS on September 6 and reach Odisha next day.

Informing media today at Lok Seba Bhawan here, Health Minister Naba Kishore Das said that the separated twins will be discharged from Delhi AIIMS on September 6 and brought to Odisha.

Detailing on their return journey, the Minister stated that they will be boarding the Rajdhani Express on September 6 and reach Cuttack railway station on September 7. From there they will be admitted to SCB Medical College and Hospital.

Jaga-Balia and their parents will be accompanied by AIIMS doctor team and Delhi-based Odisha Bhawan staff.

Notably, the conjoined twins had been separated after a 12-hour long marathon surgery at AIIMS, New Delhi in October 2017. They had been under observation since then.
