Journalist Dies After Suffering Cardiac Arrest In Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: Journalist of a leading Odia daily died after suffering a sudden cardiac arrest in Mancheswar area of Bhubaneswar today.

Reportedly, on getting information of a man lying unconsious alongside a road, a PCR van under Mancheswar Police Station reached the spot and took him to Capital Hospital where doctor declared him brought dead.

The deceased has been identified as Golakbihari Barik, an employee of Samaya, said sources.

Initially the doctors at the hospital hesitated to conduct his post-mortem during night, but after intervention of Police Commissioner Satyajit Mohanty and efforts of Mancheswar Police Station IIC Krushna Prasad Mishra, they obliged.
